Policies and Insurance
The fee for individual psychotherapy is $150 and $200 for family therapy. The fee is in the mid-range for private practice psychotherapy. I do offer a sliding scale, however there are limited numbers of these slots available in my schedule.
For New York State residents: I accept Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna Insurance.
For Florida residents: I accept United healthcare, Oscar, and Oxford insurance
I am also an out- of -network provider for all other insurance plans. Many plans are able to reimburse for out-of-network psychotherapy services at their particular rates.
Details for insurance reimbursement:
In order for you to know how much your insurance company will cover you can find out with one phone call as long as you know the questions to ask, see below:
1. Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
2. How much is my deductible?
3. After the deductible, what percentage of the fees will be covered per session?
For example, if the reimbursement rate is 75% and my session fee is $150, you would be reimbursed about $113. That means after meeting your deductible, you would be paying about $37 per session, which isn't really much different from most co-pays for in-network mental health benefits that are usually between $20-$40.
I will provide you with paid in full invoice complete with procedure code, diagnosis code, and my tax ID information for you to file with your insurance company.
The only real drawback with out-of-network benefits is the deductible and wait time for reimbursement.
Sessions are generally once or twice a week.
I accept credit cards and I kindly request that sessions are paid for at the time of each appointment.
Your appointment time is reserved for you. Cancelations made less than 24 hours in advance will be subject to a fee of a full priced session.
